Cars carry a body, and motorcycles – the soul. If you want to take care of your car, one of the most important things is the 350 chevy top-end kit.

That your bike served long and brought pleasure, it is necessary to treat with the soul and maintain in good condition. After all, the responsible owner is not the one who repairs but regularly cares.

Mechanics responsible for large fleets of complex mechanisms, such as the airline’s fleet, know that regular inspections and scheduled maintenance save against problems, costly repairs, and downtime.

The same is true of the motorcycle. If all the rules service the bike, it is damn effective.

Step 1. See the guide and the odometer So, the art of motorcycle care

  • The vast majority of the work is quite simple:
  • Check the nodes for damage.
  • Replace the technical fluids and consumables, if necessary.
  • Adjust something and adjust.

This is about 80-90% of all attention that a motorcycle needs.

The most difficult part of a regular tech service is to find out which site to check and when Manufacturers specify in user guides to different models a list of technical tasks and the regularity of each. For all items to be executed on time, it is tracked by odometer – for example, to replace the oil filter every 5,000 km. But the simple observance of the manufacturer’s prescriptions is, surprisingly, effective.

Step 2. Swing the tires

Pumps with a gauge are at each gas station – check the pressure every time you stop at the gas station.

After the second time, you can manage this in a minute without taking off your mittens and helmet. The tires should cool down before checking. And, at the same time, check the depth of the tread grooves.

The sidewalls of loosely inflated tires lack the rigidity to withstand loads. Therefore, the lowered wheels worsen the handling, braking efficiency, and wear out faster. The pumped tires reduce the spot of contact with the road, and with it – the grip.

When driving with a passenger, increase the pressure in the tires – the guide indicates the recommended parameters.

Step 3. Pull the chain to the motorcycle of a friend of a similar weight and lift the chain’s bottom

Measure how up it is and check the lead. As a rule, the chain should walk “up and down” in the range of several centimeters – depending on the motorcycle type.

If the chain sags more than expected, it will fly off the back of the asterisk on one of the next bumps.

If overstretched – it will wear out stars, gears transmission, and uneven stretch on a bumpy road.

Regularly grease the joints of the links, giving the lubricant time to thicken before the trip.

Step 4. Charge the battery. Here everything is simple

Remove and store it in a warm room for the winter. In the spring, recharge the current straightener. Clemma protects silicone lubricant from corrosion. And when the battery stops holding the charge – buy a new one, handing over the old one to a specialized reception point.

Step 5. Refresh the coolant

To replace the coolant – cases for half an hour.

The main secret – the engine should be cold. Drain the old drain through a drainage hole into some container. Spread the new distilled water in a 1:1 proportion and pour into the expansion tank to make the level between two labels. Cooling liquid can damage the colorful layer of the motorcycle and the hands’ skin – be careful.

After the operation:

  1. Disperse the system’s antifreeze, twisting the throttle for a minute or two.
  2. Check whether the radiator is evenly heated and if the air has entered the system.
  3. If necessary, pull out the bubbles, lifting the front and rear wheel in turn, and actively working with the throttle.

Step 6. Change the oil – Oil Replacement

This is important and easy. The main thing is a good tool at hand and quality oil.

– Unlike a car, a motorcycle has one carter. Therefore, one oil-smeared crank, clutch, and gearbox – says the fastest motorcycle pilot of Ukraine, the champion of Ukraine in the class SBK 1000 Konstantin Denisov – Therefore, to change the oil in the motorcycle you need before the start of the season. Or even more often – depending on the mileage.

First,

Warm-up the engine a little to reduce the viscosity of the spent oil.

Through the drainage hole, drain the work into some container, such as a cut old canister. Then replace the oil filter. Examine the old one – there should be no large debris on its corrugated surface, which may indicate the need for major repairs.

Pour the recommended amount of new oil, let the engine work for a few minutes, and then stand. Now make sure that the oil level is between the two labels. If necessary, add or take away the excess syringe.

Spent oil together with other technological liquids can be given, for example, to the guards of your garage cooperative.

Those are often heated by special stoves in which all these burn. Do not contaminate sewers, soil, and reservoirs with technical liquids.

Step 7. Watch the air filter and brake fluid – Do not forget to change the air filter as it is polluted

“It affects the power of the engine and the fuel consumption.

But the brake fluid racer recommends changing once a year, as it is hydrostatic, that is, absorbs moisture.

-Because of this, it will break down the temperature regime, and the liquid begins to boil – says the Champion of Ukraine in motorcycle racing. – It strongly affects the work of brakes – they can even refuse.

Step 8. Pick candles Replacing candles is the most infrequent task

Check the instructions to find out the replacement time. Depending on the type of motorcycle, it works for a few minutes, for my kids, or a few hours, for sports bikes. Make sure you pick up the new candles of the right size. Twist carefully so as not to damage
